His approach is built on 20+ years of hands-on experience running talent acquisition and leadership functions at some of the world’s most recognized organizations — Walmart, Microsoft, Dell, Deloitte, Rackspace, ThoughtWorks, and SunPower. He’s not someone who studied AI from the outside. He’s someone who spent two decades inside complex organizations, understanding what actually makes hiring, leadership, and decision-making work.

In 2022, he founded and sold Diverse Recruiting Experts to Hire Better — a firm built on the principle that structured, evidence-based processes produce better outcomes for everyone. That same thinking now powers his AI advisory and training work: when you build systems that are clear, fair, and data-informed, the results speak for themselves.

Today Cody works with business owners, HR leaders, executives, and organizational partners — including chambers of commerce, SBDCs, and CDFIs — to deliver AI training and advisory that is practical, immediately applicable, and built for real people, not IT departments.

He started his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander and served in leadership, recruiting, and operational roles. That foundation — discipline, structure, and a bias toward execution — has shaped everything he’s built since.
